I never went to prom. The last time I went to a large formal wedding was in San Diego in 1989 (Ok, maybe 1988?) I don't get dressed up for these type of events. But my only sibling is getting hitched at the end of the month. So I give you the two options below. Taken yes on my cell phone in a fitting room.
A) Immoral Coral (it rhymed, and sounds outlandish)
B) Audrey Hepburn Chic In Black Lace Geek

ReplyDeleteThey are both gorgeous! I see your dilemma...On one hand, the coral is such a lusty color. Good for the late summer wedding. IMHO, looks like the cut on the black (very very romantic and pretty) looks like it is more comfortable and fits best.

From what I have witnessed over many weddings over the years, the flashy red dress is usually worn by someone who is trying to draw attention to themselves rather than the bride (not saying that is your intention with the coral!) and is often talked about quietly among the other guests..."Can you BELIEVE she'd wear that to a wedding?!"

The red one looks great but probably draws too much attention, so go with the black one and put on a pair of 5 inch heels. Yes dear, they can be a pain to walk in, but you'll both look and feel sexy as hell. Walk in them a couple of hours each day to get used to walking in them.
