Rewind.

Little known fact is that I was actually supposed to go to school for film & television, but life got in the way and I went for music and sociology (hence being a musician and a social media junkie).

But I do like to get behind the camera, maybe even more then being in front of the camera.  So I had this idea of compiling a video of all the beautiful women I know, but not just a pretty face.  I wanted to do a video that showed social media vixens, singing along to my tune.

If you've listened to my song, it's actually reminiscent about friendships that have fallen to the wayside of life.  All those faces, that weave in and out over the years... It was very much about the summers I spent in high school playing in an unnamed all girl band.  We all lost touch for the most part, and sometimes I wish I could go back to those summers, jamming in basements, eating pizza and candy, and talking about Jeff Buckley. haha. Oh teens!

Here's the scoop:

The song is for Rewind, listen below!

What: I'm asking that said ladies lip sync the lyrics to the video.

Where: In terms of location and style - whatever is you.  So long as there is a good amount of natural sunlight, with a preference for outdoor. I'm hoping to show lots of character for each participant. You'll need to create a sign as small as 5x7 with your twitter handle on it. It's all going to be montaged together. In terms of what to wear, whatever you want.  You can just be you, or you can wear a tutu with a top hat. Anything goes. the more color the better!

Interested?  Reply to this thread with your twitter handle, and your vague location in downtown Toronto that suits you (I.e. Liberty Village, Distillery etc.). You must be willing to learn the lyrics and not be super serious. It's supposed to be fun :)  If all goes well I'll hold a special release party!

Here are the lyrics...

Walking ten miles
In an unknown city
Laughing at the boys
Calling them so pretty
We chat, all that, lose control
Driving so far
Never arrived
Not all that thankful
For being alive
Hold hands, make plans
Turn right

Let's swing back rewind
Make the world seem fine
Raise a glass, dress the nines
Let's go back rewind
Make the best of time
Reverse our decline

Summers so hot
We never came down
We did our best
To leave this town
Old friends, new friends, all take a bow
Running free
Minute thieves
Our hands were dirty
We do what we please
Until we call it time to quit

Let's swing back rewind
Make the world seem fine
Raise a glass, dress the nines
Let's go back rewind
Make the best of time
Reverse our decline

We lost our time
Got so entwined
We lost it, we lost it all
Couldn't take it back
We were off the rack
Fall forward
We hit the wall

  8. This is a little bit out of my comfort zone, which is why I think it would be great to be a part of :)

@serosity. Anywhere downtown or west works for me, if it's on TTC even better.
