Nicole Simone aka Late July is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter. Born in Toronto, Ontario she spent her early years state side in Del Mar, California. She is a three time graduate of Seneca College and York University in both arts, music and sociology respectively. In April 2010 Late July released her debut EP entitled ‘Side Swept’ produced by Adrian Ellis. She followed that release with the heartfelt "Hospital Quiet" in March 2011 and is currently in between playing shows and in the studio. The Fundamentals


Late July came together in the month of April. This is the musical project Nicole Simone aka n.s.d. She considers herself an observer first, and a songwriter second. After many years of hiding in her woeful bedroom, battling a serious auto-immune disorder, Nicole emerged one spring morning with the concept for 'Side Swept'. She connected with Adrian Ellis via the interweb and they started an exchange of ideas. Her debut EP 'Side Swept' is a combination of sweet and sour, hot and saucy songs that apply sugary melodies to grainy wood. With disheveled cinematic arrangements Late July combine's the whimsical with the raw. She defines the term 'Side Swept' as "being unexpectedly knocked off your feet in the best and worst ways - simultaneously" or "as a way to comb your bangs". Music is her morality. It's the nation where she lives. Her influences vary, her record collection is vast and her sincerity is where it's at.
